I should have been more mature...or skeptical or...I don't know, but it looks like the GTS changed my Pokémon's nickname AND its OT ( but not the Trainer number).

It went like this:

As of now I am preparing different teams for the PWT Type Expert tournament. I have a shiny, EV-trained Roserade named Superbitch on my White 1 game. Because of my lack of a second DS I can't trade it to my White 2 version without problems.

But I found a away around this problem: I set up a random Ditto in the GTS, looking for a Roserade. On my W1 game I will look for this Ditto ( its pretty easy to find the Pokémon thanks to the region-search option) and trade my shiny Roserade for it. and..tadaaa...the trade is done.
Only problem is that the trade seemed to change the nickname back to Roserade's normal name and it also changed the trainer name (Kyoko ) to Shiro* as well.

The Roserade is the same as before, EVs, stats, level, shiny factor etc. but the name and OT changed. What's even better: the Ditto that my W1 character recieved is a total different one altogether. Different OT and attached item.

I checked the Join Avenue for the person called "Shiro*" but nobody was there.

I guess the system changed/resetted the name for Roserade during the trade because of its offensive nature...but I've done this several times ( with stupid nicknames as well :p ) and nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

I know a nickname is no big deal to some people, but I am actually a little sad that the name is gone now. Normal names are so plain and boring to me and this Roserade his part of my team since my Pearl days.

Well, today I will present my favourite and least favourite Ice-Pokémon! The Very Effective-bandwagon has passed many months ago but I like doing thing in my own pace ( veeeeery slowly....).

So, without much rambling...here's my favourite Ice-Type:

Cloyster

What can I say about it? It is an evolution of a loveable derpy Pokémon that looks cooll and ridiculous at the same time. I love its cheesy grin, the pattern of its shell, the colours, the fact that it looks like Ghastly's head living in an empty shell...
But the best thing is imagining Cloyster performing a shellshmash in order to fly around like a crazy yet deadly ping-pong-ball.
I never had the change to train one until Gen 5 and surprisingly that was the time when it really started to shine in battles as well.
Doctor Freud likes this Pokémon too apparently.

And Teddi's least favourite is.....

Articuno

Well,....don't lapidate me, I guess the blue bird is kinda popular, I just think it is terribly boring. Easily the weakest bird legendary ( which aren't that great anyway) with nothing that really interests me. It is just so plain. It's so boring to me that I can't even describe why I dislike it because there is just so little I care about...

It nearly tied with Mr.Snowflake from Gen 5 who nearly made it because I don't like flying head Pokémon most of the time and its design is kinda puzzling to me. But Articuno was kinda stuck in my head and BW's Cryogonal-Super-Villian was kinda fun to me as well, which saved the Snowflake in the end.

Tune in next year when Teddi looks at another type!

Flygon

Flygon is pure awesomeness. Great typing ( who needs the silly old Garchomp? ) great design, it took part in one of the best battles in the anime's history and a great Pokémon-line as a whole. I especially love its eye-protectors which make it look so cute. Its colour scheme really pleasures my eyes as well. Other than that? It isn't one of those overused pseudo-legendary dragon type Pokémon which is always a plus.

And now...the least favourite dragon of mine:

Parukia

Palkia is just boring and lame to me. Sure, the concept of space-control is cool, but nothing is really made out of this concept. The design isn't that bad but for me it looks way to stiff and handicapped in its movement. Its also loved by many Pokémon fans due to it being a version mascot which I don't get at all. And like many other legendary dragon-types you get it way too late in the game to be ever considered a parter-pokémon for me ( its overpowered nature would disqualify it as a in-game pokémon anyway).
My main problem with most legendary dragon type, hell legendary Pokémon in general, is that unique type-combinations are used on Pokémon that, most of the time aren't available until the endgame part, forbidden in the battle frontier/subway and become merely collectables to me in the end.
Palkia was chosen randomly by me, but who were the other Pokémon who almost made this spot? Dragonite and Dialga. Dialga for almost the same reason as Palkia, Dragonite for being a bland and boring evolution for an otherwise cool line of Pokémon.

Reuniclus

The 5th Gen brought us many, many, many awesome and creative Pokémon but Reuniclus sticks out even with those new Pokémon. The Cell/Microbiogoly theme within its evo-line is just great and its fun to draw this thing. So many opportunities to make stupid jokes with it, so little time. In-Game it is a little lackluster, but most of my favourites are, so who cares?
It also helps that I, after Masuda Methoding like an idiot for some shiny BW Pokémon ( didn't work, OF COURSE) I ran into a shiny Duosion by accident. My first BW shiny and its a good looking one? Teddi being lucky for once? Ow yeeeaaah!
Alakazam

Kadabra lost its tail and picked up another spoon...wonderful. It feels like they made Alakazam boring on purpose. Not only did Kadabra lose its funny tail but its red markings on its body as well, replacing them with...nothing?
I was never a fan of the Abra-line in gereral ( Abra is okay I guess ), mostly because of the domination of psychic types back in Gen I but Alakazam is just bland. Is it too late for the 'real' next Yun Geraa?

The next "Super Effective" will be about the 'dragon'-type. Oh boy, I actually had to flip a coin in order to decide which one would be my least favourite...there were just too many I disliked equally.
See you next time!

Here we go again. Another Type, 2 Pokémon, one is my favourite while the other one is my least favourite.

This time I take a look at the Ghost-type. And I am perfectly honest here: One way or another I like all of them. All Ghost type have at least a tiny little bit about them that makes me like them, so I had a lot of trouble in finding my least favourite.
But let's start with the favourite:

Haunter

Haunter is not all that creative being a floating head with hands but something in its simplicity always made me smile. What's better than a floating, poisonous head that watches you from the shadows, only to kill you or to make funny faces when it feels like it?
Nostalgia may be involved with this one ( I almost never evolve Haunter when I am using one ), because it is one of a few Gen I Pokémon I really like and I used one in my Red, Silver and Emerald teams, but I just like it that much.

Drifblim

I don't have anything against object-based Pokémon. Many of those are great, but I find Drifblim kinda boring and for some reason lifeless. Its pre-evo looks cute at least and is fun to look at, but Drifblim somehow doesn't appeal to me at all. All other ghost-type Pokémon have something going for them, but Drifblim just bores me for some reason. It isn't terrible by any means, just my least favourite among the ghost-types.

Picking my favourite grass type was something I underrestemated. There are so many creative, cool and excotiv grass Pokémon and I feel bad for only naming one, so I'll name a few who almost came out on top such as Breloom, Victreebel, Ludicolo or Roserade.
Tropius still is something special to me ever since I used one as my main flying Pokémon back in my Sapphire days.

A huge, bulky dragon-like grass Pokémon isn't new as seen a generation earlies with the Chicorita-line,but I found Tropius not only more useful ingame ( one of the best HM-slaves ever) I prefer its design greatly. The whole banana-gimmick may seem a little stupid but it is adorable in my eyes. It's good for 'roleplaying' too because it is fun to imagine the trainer eating regularly from Tropius' fruity snacks in order to survive on his/her harsh adventure.
I like many grass Pokémon but I have to say that a lot early-stage grass type are rather uninteresting. I had to decide between Cottonee, Petilil, Budew, Exeggcute and Oddish but in the end I had to choose Petilil. It just isn't interesting to me at all nor does it have much personality or a cool or even funny gimmick. I like its evo, but someone had to be the least favourite.

Next time I'll do...another type.

What a lame thing to do for my very first blog post ( I was about to rant on the Tingle DS games and how I am terribly disappointed that the second game wasn't released here...) but I am lazy and copy other people all the time, so I might as well do a "favourite and least favourite Pokémon of each type"-thing of my own.

I'll start off with the Normal type.

I like many normal type Pokémon because there is a huge amount of creatures to pick from within said type. But there can be only one which is:

Damn, pretty predictable I know...
Teddiursa became my username thanks to a character from my comic series which started in 1996 I think which is a bear. The name of the bear was normally my username in the internet but for Pokémon forums I chose the bear equivalent which was Teddiursa, of course. For some reason I grew attached to the Pokémon because of this. It wasn't until the HGSS remakes when I finally trained one ingame. Broke my heart to evolve it and I still regret it, because Teddiursa is such a cute little fellow.
Its pickup ability really helped me getting tons and tons of evo stones in Platinum ( now uselessly stranded there because of BW's 'no item'-policy), so I guess it is useful ingame as well without evolving it.

Least favourite..hm...I'll try to ignore normal/flying types here since I consider them more flying and less normal type to be honest.
So it is:

Not, not Totodile. It's Azurill! The worst baby Pokémon to date ( well...there is another one...but that's one for another time). While Igglypuff and Pii are pretty bland themselves I can at least think of them as first attempts. And pii is pretty cute while I think of Igglypuff as living bubblegum...which is kinda nightmarish but fun. Imagine someone chewing on that thing...anyway, Azurill's only saving grace is its bizarre type. Other than that it is a bland and boring pre-evo of a Pokémon that was pretty boring in itself to begin with.

Next time I will look at the Grass type, whenever that will be.
