Short Christmas rant entry

So far I have seen (not really seen but I happened to be in the room while they were on) about five to six Christmas movies, at least fifty Christmas commercials and not to mention it seems like America wants to skip Thanksgiving and celebrate Christmas for the entire last part of the year.

I am sick of Christmas and it isn't even November yet. Pray for me guys.

And do NOT say anything Scrooge related. I'm not bitter about Christmas, I'm sick of the commercialization and the forcefulness of the holiday.

I agree, Christmas has gone from Jesus' birthday to gift-giving frenzy.

On the first day of November, I remarked to a store clerk, "It's Christmas already?" I'm annoyed that they have to force it on us so early. And what kind of holiday is it if it becomes an obligation to give gifts to everyone and even stress over it?

Lil' Psycho, don't you mean that Christmas has gone from a solstace celebration to Jesus' birthday to a gift-giving frenzy?

Also what's with blaming Americans? If I recall, the gift-giving frenzy started in Europe. Granted, we've elaborated on it, but still. And come on, you act as though all American holidays are like that and that's not true.

I dont know, I overexagerate, I'm just angry that there are gift comercials in November. Also I'm not good at hystory since I'm from Mexico.

It's even worse if you work retail. Trust me, by the time December 25 rolls around, I'm tired of it. (And I used to love the holidays.)

Hey, Christmas is even worse if you have sod-all cash and feel like a tight-ass when you buy everyone a fridge magnet.
