So, about to go to bed, when I remembered my promise to tell you about the con every day. Okay then.

Today was a good first day of the con. It turned out to be as fun as it's always been, and of course, I ran into the same familiar faces as always, and there was much catching up.

I went to the dealer hall and generally blew money as I do EVERY year. And it was... rather fast. Granted, I DID buy some Excel Saga DVDs for $20 off my friend with the $50 I brought for the day, and that $30 didn't last too long at everyone's favorite booth, Anime Palace, but what I bought was TOTALLY worth it. Let's see... I bought a Piplup with ice cream plushie (AKA the Epic Piplup) for $14, a mini Piplup for $6, an Empoleon keychain (also $6), a Gardevoir figure ($3) and my last dollar I spent on lunch (miso soup from Maki of Japan in the mall food court). Oh, and I owe one person $5 (for a Pokemon 4 DVD) and another a rare card (for buying me the smexy Darkrai figurine.) So yeah, Day 1 and I'm already in the hole.

After that, my feet were killing me from the heeled boots I wore for my Misa cosplay, so I chilled the rest of the day in Anime Avenue (where every year is like a family reunion). I watched Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu (hilarious anime), a few AMVs, and the beginning of something called When They Cry, which looked promising, but got boring and THAT'S WHAT VEOH IS FOR.
