Let the Right Blog In

So I've been watching the US Open this weeked, amazed by the performance Rory McIlroy. At the time of this writing, he's wrapped up the tournament with an impressive victory. However, there are a lot of people whining about something NBC did at the beginning of their broadcast. Here's the video:



So for all the non-Americans out there, the reason people are angry is that NBC left out the words "under God" in the pledge. My reaction...Who cares? Honestly, this is the last thing that I'm worried about. The fact that people are making a big deal about it really makes me want to shake my head. I mean, the phrase wasn't even in the original pledge. Plus, I feel like it detracts somewhat from the impressive performance that Rory had.

I wish that people weren't so uptight. Of course, that's like asking a cat to not lick itself.
