So I've been watching the US Open this weeked, amazed by the performance Rory McIlroy. At the time of this writing, he's wrapped up the tournament with an impressive victory. However, there are a lot of people whining about something NBC did at the beginning of their broadcast. Here's the video:



So for all the non-Americans out there, the reason people are angry is that NBC left out the words "under God" in the pledge. ...

Why do I feel like watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic all the time? Why do I want to write MLP fanfiction? Why do I want to buy a Twilight Sparkle doll? Why do I have a MLP avatar? Why is this hapening to me?

Sigh, I should just go ahead and give up my man card.

I hadn't posted anything in forever on this website, so I spent most of the weekend trying to figure out what to talk about. What I've been doing. An update on my fanfics that have seemingly stalled forever. You know, stuff along those lines.

Well, I had my driving test today to get my license. I can tell you that I was more than prepared, going as far as practicing parallel parking with some stanchions that my dad made. Everything was going to be fine.

So I arrive at the MVA, go through all the paperwork, and wait to go out and do what I need to do. So I start out. First thing is the parallel park. I go in and park pretty much as I needed to, despite bumping into the curb a little.

I'm sure that anyone that has gone through the American public school system in this decade has heard of No Child Left Behind. The law, passed in 2001, basically requires all states to administer standardized tests. In theory, it's supposed to put a focus on helping kids in failing schools to improve. Good idea, right?
