The Scratching Post

Like many people looking for a job, I've been stuck in a rut pouncing from one prospect to the next for almost a year now.


I graduated not too long ago, last May specifically, but the story was always the same no matter where I looked, I'm either not experienced enough, money ran dry or I'm just SOL.

So I decided to settle with a smaller job in the meantime. I applied to do some Student level work at my university about a month ago and started work yesterday.

Funnily enough, on my lunch break I get a call from a Pennsylvania office to come in for an interview with them this Friday. I'd been in correspondence with their transportation team since last July, so I was slightly shocked they were still following up on me, but a job is a job so I'm heading in!

There's no sense in counting my eggs right now, but I did have had some favorable replies from some companies I spoke with a week or two ago that hinted at call backs.

And the interview is no sure thing, but it's certainly a step closer to making a cut into my career. If I get the job in Pennsylvania, it will be leagues better than what I'm doing now. I'm wondering how I'll even break it to my current manager in case the Pennsylvania job goes through.

If all goes well, I'm most definitely taking this job. This means I'll probably need to move from where I am now. I'll also need to re-situate myself and get acquainted with the job which will certainly take quite a bit of time. That said, I'm not sure how much time that will leave for me here.

It's a future prospect, and even if it does get busy, I don't plan to leave Bulbagarden just like that, it's a great community and I've met some wonderful friends on here that I'd be sad to leave behind so don't count me out yet. ;3

I am sure that much of this will take up a lot of my time in the near term so I'm not going to be on as much.

This is just a pre-notice to you all just letting you know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth or anything. I'll certainly keep you guys abreast of any important details.
