I am just watching Sabrina, the teenage witch and it made me think, despite the Spellmans and every witch, slayer and supernatural being in all movies and shows, who fight for the good, they really are limited to their magic. The Witches Council (Sabrina), The Elders (Charmed), and even the Watchers Council (Buffy, although Buffy actually told them off in S5 and didn't have to hear from them again, so it's to a lesser extent).

But the point is, even when you have magic at the tips of your fingers, they are really strict and seem to limit you to a thousand things (And even thought the Spellmans, Halliwells and others get into trouble for it, they really cannot do anything about the actual evil beings).

It's just something that crossed my mind, I bet if supernatural existed there would probably be a bunch of people telling us if we couldn't use magic, amright

That's because magic is extremely powerful and they don't want people to fuck up the world with it. A lot of times it has to do with them trying to keep it a secret from non magic folk as well.

Very true, but even for simple things it seems so strict, I get that magic can destroy the mortal world and nobody can know about it (Not that it matters, the entire areas ss San Fransico, Sunnydale and Westbridge have stupid people growing in it, and that's just them. There's Los Angeles (Angel), New York (Heroes), various of places in Supernatural (oddly.. Most places in America). Then there's London (OH! I forgot the Minister of Magic in Harry Potter, my god those ministers are more stupid then any of the other places combined, aleast they admit when something's gone wrong or someone's powerful is trying to destroy the world).

Sorry to say but humanity in those ones are stupid, and probably would be in real life as well. If I saw two bite necks in every victim that came into the morgue I would know. Vampire. If I saw a fireball coming from a witch's finger, I would know witch or something supernatural. I get people don't want to believe, but when the vampire's got his fangs over your neck or the episode called Salem Trials (I think) in Sabrina where Sabrina shoots a ball of magic at Libby in front of everyone, and they believe Pool's excuse it was a ball of lightening conjured from nobody.

Actually come to think of it, mortals aren't exactly any smarter in the story I have been writing for years which has supernatural beings, it has mortals literally dating a vampire or someone with powers, and constantly battle and yet they still don't suspect anything (There's one doctor who has been trying to uncover their secret for aleast a year.. If I wasn't biased in writing it, I would call stupid).
