Occasionally people will ask me what my username means or what my "job" is at Bulbagarden. I'll use this post to try to clear up some of that. Feel free to ask questions.

My first real Internet alias was rgmusashi, which stands for rocket gang musashi. I first entered the Internet Pokémon fandom in 1999. For a couple years I was a Shipping Forum moderator at TRHQ. People there who knew me usually called me rg. Some time before I joined Bulbagarden in 2004, I made the letters into a name. Thus, Argy is pronounced like the letters R and G.

I have three positions at Bulbagarden. On the forums, I am an administrator, meaning I can ban anyone, delete or edit any post, and alter the forums' appearance and settings, among other powers. I visit the forums several times a day, but by no means do I read every post or visit every forum.

On Bulbapedia, I am a style editor, which really doesn't mean a lot in terms of specific duties. I edit articles to conform to Bulbapedia style. I also edit for spelling and grammar. I am on the editorial board, which means I am one of the few who makes the "big decisions" regarding the wiki.

My most important position is that of editor in chief of Bulbanews. I edit every story for spelling, grammar, AP Style, and content, regardless of who wrote it. In any case, most of the stories you read on Bulbanews are written by me. I have an associate of arts degree in journalism and am one year away from earning a bachelor of science. I also serve as the opinion and a Web editor of my university's newspaper, and I work as a news clerk at the newspaper in the city in which I live. To make a long story short, I love running Bulbanews, and I am well-qualified to do so.

At a later time I will write more about Bulbanews/Bulbapedia and their functions and missions. Please subscribe if you would like to learn more.
