Oh hey, first entry and it's PERSONAL?! Oh my!

It's my birthday today and like the past many years I haven't bothered about it, except happily retrieving the birthday wishes online. Offline I'd rather be without, honestly.
Anywho, my family sent me a birthday card where a 50,- DKK (Roughly $10) was enclosed. On the birthday card it was noted how I should use it "[...] to buy yourself something that's good for you and maybe a soda."
Now a soda would be nice, but what was meant by something 'good' for me? I know it was my mom who wrote the card, and lord knows how she's ambivalent. She's always told me to keep a healthy diet, yet when I do she then says I should loosen up and pig out on sweets. Gyuh?!
Anyway, in this health-crazed society I assumed the 'good' was meant as healthy stuff, so I went to the store and bought myself a soda and a bag of carrots :]
In the evening my mom called to wish me a happy birthday (eugh) and asked if I had spent the money sent to me?
"Sure, I even did exactly as you told me to!"
"Oh?" she remarked. "A bag of candy?"
"What? No, a bag of carrots, of course! That's what the card said! Something that's 'good' for me, so I assumed physiologically!"
"You.... you didn't meant that? Aww crap"
"...wait till I tell your father about this"
I'M NOT A MIND-READER >8(
But I sure love to pretend to be stupid X)
