VB4TB: Now that I've looked at it, here is what I established from vb4's blogs so far

As advertised, the following is a list of issues I found in vB4, mostly in the blogs, as I tested it. Not all of these are applicable to the current version, but a good quantity are. If there is any doubt in any of your minds that vb4 might not be that bad, well, this should speak for itself.
#1: The blog stats are still based off GMT and phantom statistics.
#2: Categories are still limited to 20
#3: Blog Categories are ATROCIOUS compared to vB3.8.4. Back there, it lists them in a nice, neat, if non-vertically compact order.
However, something must've gotten fried in the transition between then and now, be it the vB guy's brains (which are fried enough as it is) or blog settings. Here's what that same list of categories looks like in this version.
I don't even know what the hell went down. The order seems to have been preserved in memory, (e.g. if I add this to "Royal Activities", the shit category, it will add it to My Life and Daily Routine too), but it's displayed like garbage. In addition, the spacing in the "Blog Categories" section is shot as well.
#4: Blog tags are gone again, after existing in the previous test. Can you still not turn off user-added categories? Or is it just a setting carry-over from importing the main board?
#5: I hate how you can't click "Blogs" anymore and bring up the menu to head directly to parts of the blogs. Instead, you have to click "Blogs", go to the featured posts (what decides those, anyway?), and go to wherever from there.
#6: Your avatar is no longer used in place of...whatever the hell the other image is that I don't get the point of...when you go to post a new blog. This is a weird change that is kinda hard to explain. If you check my blog on the regular boards, you'll see my avatar being used in my blog. If you click into an entry, there it is.
But on some users', like NyaChan's, both images are in use, and so the alternate one is shown in the one spot. Everything seems to work fine on the surface in this version, but when you go to post a blog entry, a generic image shows up in the top right and in place of your avatar in "recent blog posts". In vB3.8.4, I don't really feel like checking if that image is there if you have it or not, but I don't have it, and it doesn't show up for me. Or ask if I want to add myself as a friend.
Strangely, when you're editing a blog entry, your avatar will show if you don't have an image.
If you don't have the second image in this version, there simply is none
#7: Speaking of those small images, they're ugly when on Recent Comments and Recent Blog posts, compared to the neatness of vb384.
#8: Advanced Search seems improved now. A small improvement in a sea of shit.
#9: Editing blogs is weird. There's no handy "edit" button in plain site. Instead, you hover near the blog's title, and a button you can press appears. Comparatively, it was always in the bottom right on vb384
#10: Recent entries is fucking garbage. Click in vb384, and you get - recent entries! However, in this crime against nature, humanity, and all that exists, will exist, once existed, and possibly that which will never exist, you get all the nonsensical featured posts that are likely not to be recent in the slightest, and then the most recent entries. Adding to the confusion is how if something is on the featured blog list, it won't be in recent entries. Thank god they're not on every page, like the stickies of vb384 (and this version too for that matter)
#11: "Best Entries" and "Best Blogs" seem to have been removed. The latter didn't work anyway. In addition, the former has been replaced by "Most Popular", but the either the votes seem to have been fried somehow and/or the algorithms have changed.
#12: I find the lack of nice, boxed formatting disturbing
#13: The phantom "tag cloud" setting is still there, but now seems to be invisible instead of crossed out.
#14: There's some bizarre bug with spoilers I've been seeing. Only the first spoiler tag in a blog seems to work. Clicking another opens/closes the first one instead of the one you want.
Blah blah blah
This is fixed
#15: As I'm sure you've noticed above, big images no longer stretch the page to make them fit, thanks to the layout change. They instead go over the blog space and cut into the right sidebar (if they are in a spoiler tag) or are cut into by the right sidebar (if not). Compare the blog category image above with the one I put in my previous entry to see what I mean.
#16: When editing a comment, there is overlap with your little image in the top left
#17: A blog's description isn't at the top of entries in it anymore. (compare: this blog to this blog and the main section of this blog)
#18: Global Categories. I added one. May have been in previous versions (in fact, they probably were), but they could be useful for the main boards if we add generic stuff ("Pokemon, Games, Television, etc").
#19: Sadly, Global Categories, subcategories, and permissions do not mix. For example, we could have a "Pokemon" category, with subcategories Games, Anime, Manga, TCG, and whatever else we can think of. If we disable users from posting directly to the category, however, we also disable them from posting to the subcategories. However, it does work in reverse (like right now, regular users can access Alpha V Beta, but not Power Rangers Management)
#20: You can't add global categories to users who can't use the global categories themselves.
#21: Global Categories look ugly when up against the Local Categories due to lack of spacing.
#22: Global Categories + Restrictions + The many usergroups = a fucking disaster. This one's tough to explain. So we barred regular/registered users from Power Rangers Management. However, what consitutes a regular/registered user is a mess. Take DCM for example. He's a regular user by most accounts, but since he's a member of the League of Neutral Posters usergroup, he can access that category, as shown here. I'd imagine when multiple groupsd get thrown in it gets even worse
#23: There seem to any number of featured entries, which are chosen in the admincp. They can be random, specific, or most recent. Because of #10, I'm not sure what should be done here, if it's even possible to do anything.
#24: In addition to #1, the statistics options in the admincp are not only also based off GMT, but despite supposedly allowing you to expand the timeframe from just one month, it stays in that frame no matter what you choose.
#25: There's a similar option to view user's blogs in a similar fashion, but it is also subject to the same restrictions.
This I posted in the comments, for things unrelated to the blogs
#1: When you have unread notifications, you no longer get the full menu when you click; you just get what you need. Really annoying, because I liked to use that menu to access my private messages (since there was a weird bug involving linked accounts introduced in one of the vB3xxes that disallowed you from clicking your username directly)
#2: Speaking of linked accounts, you can't seem to access them anymore. The feature is still there, but it looks like the settings were fried. If you set them up again, it works fine.
#3: And while we're still on the subject of the top right bar, there's redundancy about. Your Username and "My Profile" both lead to the exact same place.
#4: Trying to click "home" results in an error (applies anywhere)
#5: Group listings are back. Must've been fixed or something.
