The Live Wire

The Live Wire is a fast-paced, action-filled blog filled with the collection of a now fairly known user's thoughts on events as they happen. The updates were intended to be short and sweet, though that was never really adhered to on a consistent basis. The content covered ranges wildly, from the latest and greatest to the criminally unknown, from opinions some may find disagreeable to irresistibility of varying qualifications. You may be entertained. You may be offended. You may be enlightened. You may even be disgusted. Is it a simple idea spiraled out of control? Perhaps. But it's all part of the ride. Prepare yourself.

  1. When I get a new mouse, I think I'll celebrate by destroying my old one

Seriously, to the devil with thinking single clicks are triple clicks or even quadruple clicks! When it was just double clicks, I didn't mind too bad, but it popping up the selector box all the goddamned time in Opera unless I turn off selecting (which I have to do for every new window) really gets on my nerves

I'm surprised it only caused me to double-post a blog only once or twice, though. You'd think I'd have hundreds in back blogs because of it, but nope!

  2. The PS3 browser sucks, Pt.2

So last night I mentioned the suckitude of the PS3 browser. This entry, right here. Now that my computer is up and kickin' and so am I, here's the reasons why the PS3's browser sucks.

#1: The-onscreen keyboard. It's typical of many browsers like this. It's not the worst way to type, and there's a lot of control, but without a USB keyboard, it still feels slow. Even slower than the PSP's. On the PS3, the keyboard may have issues with typing, but at least it is very responsive. When ...

  3. The iPhone is a joke

So you've recently heard of the whole Adobe/Apple controversy, right? Well, there may be another one on its way. Apple just rejected Google's Google Voice app from the iPhone, as it "duplicates features already available on the iPhone."

That's all fine and dandy, but the thing is, they just approved of Opera, a web browser that kinda smells, which also duplicates features on the iPhone. So why can you sue over this? It involves some legal mumbo jumbo involving AT&T and ...

  4. The PS3 browser sucks

I forgot what I was going to blog about, but something delivered itself unto my doorstep as I went in to the new blog section - a crash!

Not only are crashes semi-regular, but it has a whole host of problems too hard to type up on it. So this afternoon.

  5. Sony is DEAD FUCKING SERIOUS about removing Other OS from PS3

So remember when I blogged about how Sony was removing Other OS from every PS3, all over some ridiculous exploit involving it, and hardmodding your PS3? That is to say, opening it up, taking a soldering gun, melting this one point on your PS3, and making this change? And they said it was so owners could enjoy their shit on "a more secure system". Terminology normally used to refer to exploits actual mailicious hackers could use to sabotage something.

    Well, there existed ...
