I don't know why, but there is just a ton of rain here (more than any other season combined, though still not quite a lot) in the fall. Even if there isn't rain, it tends to be overcast anyway just because. Why just because? If I knew why, I'd tell you.

Not that I don't like the rain - I love it - but you need to pad it out with sunlight every now and then.
