Hey, may as well make that ultimate sleep schedule blog now!

So it's an established fact that my sleep schedule is really, really, all the fuck over the place at times. There's a level of odd consistency, but that's about it. One of them is that I will nine times out of ten wake up before or just after 3PM, no matter how late I get to sleep. Anything after, and it's unusual circumstances.
What usually ends up happening is that I get to sleep later and later, until I decide "fuck this" and try to pull an all-nighter. Which has been shaky in recent years, and the worst thing about it is, I can function on little sleep, but not too well on no sleep (keep this in mind). Once I do it though, I usually do end up plopping it back to a level of normalacy in the end; sometimes it goes off right away, other times it takes like a week. However, on two notable blogged-about occasions, it's gone horribly, horribly wrong.
On one of these occasions a year or two back, I triggered polyphasic sleep. In short, I slept a little here and there, but not all at once. I think I was doing this for like a month. Then there was the time I misfired on the timing, so I was going to sleep at like 4PM-6PM and waking up at 1-3AM. That happened more recently: 3-5 months back, I think?
The good news about the latter, and bad news about everything else, is that I do start to "slip" gradually. Even if I do achieve normalacy, it's a matter of when in regards to whether it's going to last. So like right now, for example: I was doing well for about 2-3 weeks: sleeping around midnight then waking up at 9-10AM. Then it slipped and became like 2AM-11AM. Then it just crashed, and here we are at 7AM-2:30PM: thankfully the 3PM-thing stopping things from getting way too fucked.
So yes. That's how sleep works with me.
