Winged Psychic rants. I think that has been established.
With the failure of the PS Vita to have any strong impact on the public and still lacking a killer app with mainstream appeal after one year of being on the market, sales have slowed. The 3DS similarly had a slow start but was able to bolster it's userbase with it's rich list of individual properties such as Mario and Animal Crossing, Sony has no such luck on that. The gadget world is very cutthroat, if your technology shows weakness at all, another will take your place.

I have an uncle that recently married into the family. He's originally from some part of asia that I didn't care to clarify, although an educated guess would say Cambodia. I've posted about him before. Anyway, I don't know if it's down to cultural differences between western and eastern cultures, but he's very touchy and grabby with me and my cousins whenever we get together for family gatherings. It's the kind of thing that a best friend might be able to get away with if you were really close with
I watched seasons one and two of Sherlock recently. It was very good. As a watcher of too many television shows and a reader of Tvtropes I was pleasantly surprised to find my expectations were continually subverted. I don't often find shows that I can't predict the outcome of. It is not often that you get a TV show that knows it's audience this well. The heightened cinematic feel was only betrayed by the slightly tacky use of scene changes that needed slightly cleaner editing.
This happened a year ago but I felt like posting it now because I still can't fathom the reasoning behind it.
Let's say for example, my name was Alexander Eir Gitram. On my Medicare card (It's like a health care card), it's Eir Alexander Gitram because that was the name my mother had put on the form for my birth certificate. It's understandable, English wasn't her first language. However, what isn't understandable is what happened last year. Because my name didn't match my Medicare

It's plain! It's dull! It's uninspired!
I felt myself feeling an emotion I've never felt before when playing through a run through of a pokemon game for the first time: boredom. It was strange. These two games had great scenarios, pokemon designs that I liked and very solid gameplay. Then I realised why. It was the localisation. These translations may have been accurate to the japanese version, but they were also incredibly dry; devoid of emotion and subtlety.
