I just went to the Sobeys self-serve till, got $100 cashback, and like an incredible moron, left it there at roughly 7:30 PM today. I called back and they said they don't have it. I can't believe this is happening...the only reason I got the cashback in the first place was because I thought I owed it to my mother, when it turns out I'd already paid her.

Why is it that being in front of a monitor emboldens people to say things that they never would in real life? A girl I work with comments on facebook about frustration with working in the customer service industry. I reply in agreement with the offhand comment "yeah people are stupid". This other really sweet, mild-mannered, mature girl we both used to work with gets really offended by that for some reason and proceeds to tell me off about my overall attitude at work. Kinda hard ...
