Well, I did wanna try.

Xerneas = Ice/Steel (or pure Ice or Ice/Flying, but not really)

Yveltal = Fighting/Dragon or Fighting/Flying

Why?

    These are really cool theories~ Personally I think Xerneas will be part Psychic, but I can see where you're coming from :)

    I said since Dialga/Palkia (Kyogre and Lugia both had major advantages over Groudon [type-casting] and Ho-Oh [level-up moves, such as Hydro Pump and Ancient Power]), and yes, Dialga had a type-casting advantage, but the only moves it learned naturally that could SE Palkia were Dragon, and it's signature move had a serious drawback (recharge) to Palkia's outrageous second effect (raised crit). On the other hand, Palkia, like Dialga could learn Aura Sphere and Earth Power. Not STAB, but certainly hard-hitting AND SE. Where Palkia had a type disadvantage, they gave it access to stuff to make up for it.

    And hell yeah it does. You see those arm-like wings with claw-like hooks that are also on the end of the tail? He wants blood, and he's only getting it up close and maulin'. *personal impression; I don't expect people to agree, but Yveltal as anything Dragon/Fire/Fighting/Dark works in my book based on looks....because I did mention Palkia doesn't look anything like a water-type? Just because someone doesn't think it looks like one, doesn't mean it can't be*

    I hope Yveltal is fighting/flying, that would be interesting regarding advantages and disadvantages.
