Are you insane? Pokémon didn't come out in the US until after I graduated HIGH SCHOOL. I turned TWENTY EIGHT last month and, while I do indeed feel old, Pokémon has nothing to do with that. Heck, it keeps me young.

If it helps, I'm still in the fandom very heavily, thought I don't have the time to post on these forums any more.

I've been into it since I was nine--I'm now twenty. So over half of my life for me! Pokémon means so much to me.

I turned 24 in May; I think it is only natural to feel old sometimes, especially in a fandom that appeals so much to the younger crowd.

I usually find comfort in knowing that there are plenty of fans in my age range, and older involved in the fandom. I see the fact that some people have been involved in the fandom for a long time as a resource, it is certainly not a bad thing.

People changing interests and moving away happens in all aspects of life. I have lost touch with people I used to know 5-10 years ago, it's just something that happens.

I guess my point is, that you shouldn't feel old.
As the old saying goes, the only time you are ever too old is when you are dead.

You're never too old, trust me. If it really, honestly makes you happy, don't feel bad about it.

I may only be twelve, but I look like three years older. Imagine when I'M twenty-five. I'll look almost thirty and probably feel like I'm eighty.
I've been a fan of Pokémon for almost four years, and it doesn't seem to me my fandom will end anytime soon.

Trust me, I know a forty-year-old Pokémon fan that started liking it when she was THIRTY. At least, I used to know her...... Anyway, my point is, don't feel old.

I have been into Pokémon since I was 11, and I turn 21 in one week.... All of middle school, high school, and college spent with this. Heh.

Seems like a lot of us have been in the fandom for quite the while. My mantra has always been that if something gives you enjoyment, then why give it up?

Old topic, but fitting for the subject matter.

And I thought I felt old for being almost in adulthood and still involved in Pokemon. Of course, there are many 20+ year olds on the Pokemon forums, so it really isn't that bad.

You think 24's old? Well, your like, 10 years older than me, but who cares. It seems like 50% of the people here are over 20... and all of us are probably considered too old for Pokemon. But oh well, as long as you like it, theres nothing wrong, right? RIGHT?

This is probably creepy for you. Im kinda just some random chick telling you your not to old for this... holy crap, I sound like a prostitude. Now it just got 10x more akward, huh... yeah, I'll shut up now.
