I used to play Yugioh before I moved on to Magic and I have to say that I like MtG more. I feel that Yugioh tends to focus on promoting certain deck styles whenever they release sets, and that they make it expensive for people to play competitively. (a staple card released as a common in Japan was first released as the highest rarity in the US)
Magic the Gathering is more of a level playing field, and it feels a bit like playing Pokemon. The cards aren't built strictly to combo off one another so you have more freedom in your card choices. When I stopped playing Yugioh, duels were becoming a one-sided affair: turns would involve tons of combos and games would end in a decisive turn depending on who pulls off their combo first. MtG allows for more interaction with the opponent so it's not just a matter of streamlining your deck but also reacting to your opponent's moves. Decks playing the same strategy might have the same key cards but they allow for more flexibility and creativity. The meta might be hard to get used to (the Standard format allows only the sets released in the past 2 years to be played) but cards are relatively cheap and I feel that this cleans the slate and makes it easier for new players to join in.
I play MTG. What I probably like most about it is how unique each cycle feels. I also love that each cycle has its own lore.
I play it because it's easier to make a deck than yu-gi-oh, its players are older than that of Pokemon TCG, and my number one reason, it gives me an excuse to meet people, no matter how limited that group is.
It's a heck of a lot better than sitting in the corner alone all the time because I'm awful at meeting people.
I don't think Hermione and Harry should be together (Ginny/Harry is just so perfect... Luna/Harry would have been perfect too), but Hermione and Ron always felt off to me, they don't have much synergy together IMO. I would definitely have liked to see Hermione marrying someone else.
My opinions: I can see why people like it, but I could never get into Harry/Hermione. They always felt more like brother and sister to me. Ron/Hermione seemed to compliment each other, giving one something the other doesn't have. (Hermione gives her support, motherlyness and intelligence, Ron gives her comfort and a calming influence. At least, that's how I saw it with them.)
And I thought Harry/Ginny, although it wasn't as well-developed, was what I was hoping for. (That, or Harry/Luna.) I really like those two girls, and I could see them both working with Harry when I read the story. That being said, I would have preferred Harry/Luna.
Luna Lovegood should have been with Harry, end of debate :P.
I think Rowling could be making this statement to attract attention on herself again like stating how Dumbledore was gay.
I don't know if shipping wars are going to be re-kindled because of this.
Honestly, I didn't really care who the main three ended up with since I was not reading the Harry Potter series for the romantic content.
Though, I do ship the children of the original characters though. Originally Posted by Lord Apex Ron is ugly imo. I didn't really like the actor picked to portray Ron. I actually had a crush on the book version of Ron because of Rowling and Mary GrandPré's drawings.
Ima say yes they should of been! Ron is ugly imo.
I like Romione but Harry would have been a better match, both intellectually and in terms of physical attractiveness.
Its honestly hard to read when it goes dark, hey Heihachi!
I don't really mind it at all. :3 I actually like it. But you do what you want. ;D
Ι have no problem with it, but getting people to avoid your blog... You should change it.
That's curious. I actually like the GIF. It might be problematic for slower computers though. :<
