You can't because you don't get to challenge Alder when you first get to him. Even then, his team are around 75, and by the time you reach N's Castle, most players would be around 50. I obviously had to train.

That better not be some sarcastic remark.

I beat Alder about a week after I saved the world. I needed time to level up my time, and to fully explore north-eastern Unova.

By "other things to do", I meant going to the other three towns, catching any remaining legendaries, finding all of the Seven Sages, and painstakingly training my Pokemon to levels 75 or so before I face Alder.

The Audino, even those at level 50, aren't really giving me a lot of EXP... This is going to be so painfully long. I don't think I've ever trained any of my teams before to level 70, I've always left off at 50 - 60.

It gets to me sometimes, but I persevered and all my Pokemon were lv56 even when I went to the League.

Yeah but it's so annoying to go back and forth and wait for the rustling grass that I just stopped using that method and continued with the old training method. I think it might have been faster, depending on how lucky you are with getting that rustling grass to appear.

This is what Audinos were invented for! Impatient trainers who want their Pokemon to level up fast.

I think they're the Shadow Triad. Just saying.

(except Cilan, Cress and Chilli, they did absolutely nothing).
    Don't be so sure. ;)

Anyway, I've beaten it, and looks like there's still some stuff to do.
You will soon find out how false that statement is.

You get good battles and evolutionary stones in White too, not just Black.

@PkmnGreen - I wanted White, but the store only had Black.

It's seriously unfair that White players have access to so many pre-Gen V Pokemon in White Forest while us poor Blacks don't.
But you get battles and the evolutionary stones. Surely you knew what you were getting when you brought the game? :P

Yeah, but if you actually want a shot at catching them, you'll either need somebody else with a game, or to clear it super-fast. Beat the game in any normal amount of time and your game-specific region will be empty by the time you get there.

I started with Black, though I recently got White, because I enjoyed the story mode a lot and wanted to play through it again. My Black team was Serperior/Gothitelle/Liepard/Mienshao/Emolga/Cinccino. For White I'm using Mawile (via a traded egg)/Whimsicott/Zoroark/Scolipede/Swoobat, and the final team member will probably be Stunfisk.
