Wow... that's been doing a lot of stuff. All I've been doing is watching a beautiful city in the sky with a messed up culture be destroyed by a revolution and two other people who are trying to reach Paris. In other words, I've been watching my sister play Bioshock Infinite because I never finish shooter-based games. Good lord I'm too in love with that game...
You are confusing the word "hypothesis" and "theory." A theory is a "well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a body of knowledge that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment," and a hypothesis is a "proposed explanation for a phenomenon," (quoted from their respective wiki articles). A hypothesis only becomes a theory after it is tested by rigorous experimentation and research. I think a minimal amount of unbiased experimentation and research would probably be sufficient to reject your hypothesis.

However, to say that we have a pool of collective known information is complete bullshit right there. If you were to use the example of Pikachu, I could pull in the Schrödinger equation. This is not in any way collective knowledge, with the obvious exception that humans have produced literature that explains it and passes it down orally. It's not, however, collective knowledge before you have learned it, people cannot just be told the words Schrödinger equation and write it down. You can possibly derive it, but it all requires knowledge that's not subconscious. Adding to that, there's no evidence for extraterrestrial life visiting Earth. Either you're disregarding the entire theory of evolution, or you're saying that bacteria or other simple life forms that would have been the only things even remotely possible of surviving impact with a meteorite had some sort of collective well of knowledge. If it was "higher" (not that I like the term when it comes to evolution, there is no "higher" or "lower" beings in nature) beings that came to Earth to impose their wisdom, why is there no evidence of such a thing. Also, the notion that human intelligence derived from aliens is downright insulting to the progress humans have made. It's an evolutionary trait. This would explain why virtually every culture in the world uses writing and verbal language. Or, you know, it's a very good way of communicating? Passing on information? Given that no psychic powers exist that science is aware of, we make do with what we have, which is oral and written communications. It's just a theory This is not science. Humans share a lot of ideas mostly stemming from evolution and the basic instincts if anything. For instance, there's some evidence that regardless of religion and place of origin, we share some of the same set of morals. However, what you're suggesting is absurd.

I dunno, the concept seems a little too far-fetched for me, though. that pikachu thing is interesting, though, cause I remember something like that happening to me. had to make something in elementary school, I ended up drawing pikachu almost randomly, assuming it was some simply design... by the time i was introduced to Pokemon, I long forgot about it, but now that I remember it, it did seem a little strange. I didn't think too hard about it, and figured it was just coincidence...
