Foreign Language doesn't apply to Crystal, which is what I'm playing right now.
The odds of hatching a shiny Pokémon are the same as finding it in the wild. Shinyness of the parents plays no part. Of course, if one of the parents originated in a foreign language game, the odds are slightly better.
Only if I absolutely have to. :) Besides, Ditto is going to be jumping back and forth between the PC and the Day Care, so I don't really count it as part of the field party.

Tell me about it. I had to break out my Blue cartridge and spent a good hour and a half just to get to 96 entries when I was able to trade in the game. Naturally, I used the Trading Service in Stadium 2, which by-passes the Time Capsule rule.
It's kinda lame how they made you catch 150 to do it with GSC, yet you don't need to do anything for RGBY. -_-
