@winstein; The one that I really would love to see revisited is the one where a portal to the past is formed somehow, and Nobita ends up finding a boy who looks exactly like him, but who is a prince in his time. This one.

My personal favorite out of all the ones that I have seen is the Spaceblazer film, and they already revisited that one. That movie is a lot of fun.

@Satoshi-kun; Which old pre-2005 film would you like to see revisited? I would like to see the one about Spiral City revisited. That one is about Doraemon creating a civilisation of stuffed animals on an unknown planet, but some circumstance created some intelligent beings (including a Leonardo da Vinci horse and an Albert Einstein cow). It also features a criminal who managed to clone himself with Doraemon's "egg generator" (and there is one sympathetic version). The other one is the Genesis Diary where Nobita is a god of a universe simulation (and feature bee people).

    Thanks for reading.

By the way, this year's movie isn't about sending stray animals back in time (that is a different movie). It's a different movie about a stray dog (Peko) who is a royalty or heir of the throne (I don't remember) of a civilisation of dogs that can walk on two legs and talk without Doraemon's intervention (at least, it's not mentioned that it is). He was sacked by an evil dog lord, and the dog hit a lucky break when Doraemon wanted to find some mysterious land with a satellite (he overheard their conversation, so he chose to be adopted because of that). The gang found the land thanks to Peko's direction. It also features a gigantic dog statue that animates, and the land is set in Africa, I believe.
Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering why they were redoing such a new movie, and I guess it turns out that they were actually redoing a very old one. They seem to be revisiting the early films a lot now, which is okay. Gives the newer generation a chance to see them.

It would appear that animals are not meant to be decorated because they are beautiful the way they are. I do admit that animals have a very nice skin, fur, plumage and so on in their original form. They are a joy to look at, since God's creations are perfect. I am not completely into the idea that decorating the animals is not fair to them, as long as they are harmless.

From the viewpoint of some people, the dogs and cats that have decorated fur are bred or raised to be groomed since they are mainly show animals (such as having the fur being overgrown, I guess), so they likely don't exhibit the same urge to be outside to play and run around as you might have bet, though it's possible that if given the chance, they would love that.

As for the cats, I can't deny that they might not like it, but I can't deny that they dislike it either. I could see some people enjoying how they turn out, the same way some cats do things that might not seem agreeable like putting a lime helmet on one or have one playing a keyboard with a shirt on. I should mention that while LOLcats is something funny to a lot of people, I don't exactly like it because the "comment" that the cat is saying doesn't reflect what the cat is thinking, but what people think the cat is doing or thinking. I don't mind it though, since it appears harmless.

Based on your comment that animals should not be treated as art canvas, it is the same for the Pokemon Furfrou in that it is unfair for it to be groomed in a fashionable way, or is that a different case altogether that is fairer?

    Thanks for reading.

    (Sorry for the long comment.)
No, it's fine! I enjoy reading responses. :) Hmm, I would say yes on the Furfrou part. Poodles require grooming, because their hair(yes, it's hair, not fur) keeps growing, and barely sheds off. Grooming is needed to prevent problems such as matting or overgrowth. I still believe for Furfrou as well, that grooming in a fashionable way, is unnecessary. I agree about the LOLCat part too. The person who edited the picture of the cat did not make the cat pose or do anything it didn't want to do. Sorry my response isn't a lot, I'm multitasking. XD

    @Satoshi-kun;

No, that movie isn't next year's move, if Wikipedia is of indication. It is probably a separate movie from the annual 2D ones, from what I can tell. In essence, the annual Doraemon movie next year could be another 2D move for all we know. Still, I won't mind if they leap to 3D, or better yet, have a case where the characters dive into 3D between 2D.

By the way, this year's movie isn't about sending stray animals back in time (that is a different movie). Long after I made this blog post, I realised that Doraemon is still annually creating 2D animation because I overlooked that remake movie related to dog civilisation. I know the overall story through the manga, so I presume it's the same here.

One thing that I found interesting is that ever since a new management took over animation duties, there aren't anymore manga with Doraemon's adventures from the movies (the last one was about a civilisation of cats and dogs sent to the far past, before skipping out 2005). I always prefer the manga because of the fact I prefer the sequential pictures and its art style.

    Thanks for reading.

Nobita's eyes are very different from his cartoon counterpart.
Indeed! I actually kinda like how Nobita looks in this though, very cute design.

This year's movie ( ストーリー|『映画ドラえもん 新・のび太の大魔境〜ペコと5人の探検隊〜』公式サイト ) is a remake of the movie where Nobita rescues a dog and takes him back to the past, where he and other strays form their own civilization I think (one of my favorites!), so will this be next year's movie?

I think it's just unfair. Dogs and cats are not art canvases, they are living beings. I bet the dogs want to be outside, playing and running around instead of being constantly getting pictures taken of. I think it's hard to believe that most cats would remain calm while being "styled". I'm pretty much against any program that uses non-humans for people's entertainment.

I never really thought anime would work with CGI well, but granted it's a rather old franchise. I don't know much about Doraemon though but I may have learned a bit more now.

Slaking's stats already overshadow many Mega Pokemon, and simply losing its Truant ability would make it incredibly powerful without the stat boosts. However, you've managed to make a Mega Slaking that loses Truant, yet doesn't become over-powered since its ability forces it into a Choice-item role.

@Skuntank; Yes, that's how I got the idea when I thought going the defensive route won't be beneficial for Shuckle.

@The Outrage; That's the idea with Mega Shuckle: to be a high risk-high reward Mega Evolution. So yeah, it needs Protect to reduce the risk. I don't fully understand what you said about Mega Slaking. Could you elaborate?

    Thanks for reading.

I think he got the idea from Shuckle's Pokedex entry which states it already has berries in its shell:

It stores berries in its shell. The berries eventually ferment to become delicious juices.

I've got to admit, you've managed to create a Slaking that's more powerful than the original, without a massive jump in power that other Megas wouldn't feel due to losing such a detrimental ability.

While your Shuckle is interesting, a major drawback is that turn order on the turn you Mega Evolve is decided on the speed of your non-Mega evolved form, meaning that you're going to be a slow defenseless Shuckle for one turn, necessitating the use of Protect.

That wouldn't work out well, if that was the case, since a Pokemon using its Mega Stone can only ever hold that stone.
