Well, the katakana for "Pikachu" already exists. The next thing is, would you want the Japanese word for "boy" (in kanji) or the English approximation in katakana?

Ummmm... Yea, I don't understand Japanese at all so my shop would be out of the question. Sorry ^^;;

It would really depend if the person you're ordering said graphics from. u___u; There are a lot of us on the site that don't know how to identify Japanese characters of either hiragana, katakana or kanji. There are also very, very few translators out there that will do a spot on job of what it is you're looking for -- they always seem to change what it says to something that is programmed into the translator's mechanics.

Like I said, depends on who you get it from. I used to have a shop open and I could put Japanese text on what I created if the customer asked. However, my shop is now long closed, and I don't plan on reopening it till things settle down more for myself.
