Thanks all. And there is an update. For starters, it turns out my longest chain was actually... brace yourselves... 121 consecutive catches. Qwilfish was definitely somewhere in the higher range of that number, so that proves I'm either the most persistent person when sufficiently annoyed, or I really wanted to do something right for a change. And the second update is that, in a much shorter chain, I caught a shiny Relicanth late last night, but the chain broke immediately afterward. Well, at least I've managed to do the chain fishing thing right, as I'm an utter failure with the Poke Radar (I can't get past chain 2 without screwing it up), and I've been having a bit of trouble with breeding (for some odd reason, even though they're in the same groups, the Pokemon I pair up together to get certain egg moves just seem to hate each other, even if I catch duplicates, they just hate each other!). So that's the update from me.
Yaay! Good job! I tried chain fishing too and reeled in a shiny Dragalge and Cloyster. If you continue after you get a shiny, your chain doesn't break. :)
I know I'm horrible at Poke Radar chaining. The highest I can go is 5. -_-
Too bad it wasn't a Net Ball, then the pun would increase 100% in punisity.
I laughed at the pun
Eh, this year I WAS going to be the Terminator, my first major costume of my design. Usually, we go to Elmora, the big market place by our home, which always is awesome The local Dunkin Donuts gives out Munchkins, but we have to get there early, as when something like Munchkins are given out and there is such a huge crowd, fights and mischief is bound to happen. So.......we usually gather as much candy as we can, then spread out before things go crazy and get to the houses, like today.
Here in The Netherlands hardly anyone celebrates Halloween, although we do have a similar tradition at the 11th of November called Sint Maarten (Saint Martin) where children go from door to door asking for candy, carrying paper lanterns with a candle instead of wearing costumes and singing a song instead of saying trick-or-treat. Different but still sort of the same :) I always looked forward to it as a kid.
I do think Halloween is very neat. Wearing creepy or funny costumes seems so cool! Happy Halloween!

As a poet myself, I just have to ask...what do you write? :) Fantasy, usually, but some sci-fi is often mixed in. It varies by mood and/or ideas. Sadly, I retire as many ideas as I start. I started writing to relieve the anxiety I felt from the 9/11 attack (I'm very sensitive to my surroundings, so when panic or fear is in the air, I feel it full-force), but it has since taken a life of its own. My style was, sad to say, crude at first, so my earlier stories were generally vague and not very fleshed out. It took a creative writing course in college to really smooth out my style and such.
Usually they have a center theme, based off of a series, like Breath of Fire or Zoids. Probably my most "successful" series is my own version of Zoids Legacy, using Zeru, Juno, and Pulse as the center characters (but modified to fit a different structure, like Juno being a member of the Zenebas race over an Ancient Zoidian, Zeru having been completely remodeled, etc). That is probably my most completed and thought-out story series I have written, though I haven't touched it since March. My biggest problem is either lack of motivation or (the biggest culprit) writer's block, both of which cripple any series I write. But that's usually what I do in terms of stories.
I am really glad to hear that things are ok for you at home :)

Write often, it works wonders.
Hope your situation gets better.
As I haven't been in this situation before, I cannot give you much advice. But, I can tell you this. Try to think of all the wonderful things you have in life. Your friends, your mother's health (thankfully), and your friends here on Bulbagarden. Now I know I don't know you well, but even if this is a hard time, and even if you feel like you're losing hope, it will get better. Just try your best to ignore your father, trust me, I do that all the time with my bad situation. He is acting immature and not taking on any of his responsibilities. Maybe try talking to him. Like, really talking to him. Sit your dad down and have a heart to heart talk. Then if he doesn't listen, don't get mad or pissed, just get up and leave. Always stay calm, be the mature one.
What I do to stay happy is surround myself with the things I love. Stuffed animals, favorite movies, icecream... It might sound silly, but it works. Try writing some fanfiction about your favorite characters/otp. Draw, sing! In times when your family is weak, you always have friends. Try some after school activities. Learn a new instrument!
And remember, I'm always open to talk. Good luck! <3
That sounds really Awful every single bit of it
That's easy just look at this
and each time it happens take a few mins and each time you feel bad just look at it
Happy Birthday! (I'll tell you early cause im nice xD)
Happy birthday for tomorrow! :)
Happy (early) birthday~
OO its my birthday on 16th :D the day after!
Happy bday ;p tomorrow
Tomorrow is your birthday? Well then happy early birthday! Hope it's an enjoyable day.
Then I really really recommend you Tiger & Bunny. It's one of the best anime that came out in 2011, particularly well-known for character development. While it does revolve around the battles of heroes fighting crime, every individual has their own development. Try the first few episodes. I rarely hear someone saying it was a waste of time :D
I really envy people who are good cooks ;_; If you have to save yourself from disastrous dinners, then I really should do something to save myself from starving... XDD
While a lot of them are combat oriented (Zoids in particular), one main factor is that they either involve something I'm interested in. Yu-Gi-Oh!, for example, involves strategy card games, which I like, while Zoids involves high-tech living machines, again something that interests me. Another factor is humor. All my choices have at least some form of humor, whether it's witty, wry or dry, which are my three senses of humor. But the also have good story telling and more "human" emotions (death of a loved one, loving someone very close, fighting over mundane things such as donuts and cookies, etc...). That's what makes me tick. While, yes, they are combat based, the adventures and humor make it more enjoyable for me, the collective melting pot of all those things in one form. That's what I like.
Yes, I am a skilled cook and even better baker. Some of my signature dishes include orange duck with rice and peanuts, root beer based bison chili, chili cheese dogs, cheeseburger pie, and my most well known dessert is a vanilla bean cheesecake with white chocolate moose and vanilla bean whipped cream. I had to learn how to cook in order to save myself from my family's disastrous dinners, especially since I'm a super taster, or one who has more and stronger taste buds per square inch. It makes me a picky eater, but the cooking skills remedy that. So, yeah, I'm a hot cook. I can even cook a tammogoyaki (I think that's how you spell it), or a Japanese fried egg roll (ironically, I can't cook a regular omelet, but I can cook a much more complex Japanese version, heh). That about sums it up.
