What's your banner doodad thing at the top about?
I was in 2nd grade. My teacher wheeled in a tv and we watched it all.
I was in second grade at the time. I think my teacher tried to explain it to us the next day.
i was 6 and i remeber trying to draw dinosaur eating planes. it scared them.
I was in class in 2nd grade. My mother was so scared she got her sister to take me out of school that day. Spent the whole day wondering what the hell happened, as I didn't understand it entirely.
I was 5. I don't even remember what I learned in school back then.
I don't remember exactly (different timezones yo). I was 7 years old in 3rd grade. The day after the attack everybody was all like "something seriously bad has happened". While all adults were acting like it was the worst thing ever, I didn't really care, it was in the US, and all that happened was a plane crash, by one of the guys of Bin Laden. We all had to make a drawing as a memorial or whatever, I think everybody made them of a plane crashing into a tower. They then got hung up in our classroom. Also we got explained the mystery of the date 9/11 ("11/9 is written as 9/11 in America kids, and instead of 112 911 is the alarmnumber there")
Like you might've noticed above, we Dutch kids could't care less about it. The US was very far away after all.
I was at home, since I was in the second kindergarten class, and turned on cartoons. When this little strip popped up at bottom of the screen, I read it, since I liked reading.
I stopped reading the tickers for a year after that. Why do they put them on kid's shows? Do they think the kid's can't read and understand? Terrorism, destroyed, new york... I don't remember exactly what it said, but it scared the hell out of me.
I was... a 6 year old in 1st grade. I don't really remember it. My mom says she had dropped me off at school when it happened... I recall seeing the report later. As a 6 year old... I didn't really care at all. xD
happened to me. must perform to the best of my ability.
I had a similar problem (went to sleep at 0300, woke up at noon), and I solved it by simply setting my alarm earlier. Set it an hour earlier each day and MAKE SURE YOU GET UP, then after a few days you'll be tired around 2200 and up at 0700.
The first, I say.
Could be for the same reason why a lot of the people who've seen both the original Dragonball and the dub declare the dub as crap, but I'm not one able to make a judgement there.
The YYH dub... It just seems right. I can't explain why, which pains me when I hear people criticize it, as I'm not able to defend the dub viably. D;
I love the dub! It's one of the best. My friends think poorly of YYH for some reason....
I haven't watched the series since it went into the lower tiers of time (like Pokemon is now) a long while ago before it ended on Cartoon Network, so I started watching it again, noticing many things a stupid preteen wouldn't. ;P Such as how great of a dub it is, and how it seems to embody the '90s so! :D
And what a better way to celebrate than with everyone's favorite slightly psycho badass, Shinobu Sensui!
OMG YU YU HAKUSHO!!
Let him be... LeBron is okay.
Not a basketball fan. But as a devout Reds fan, I can understand why they are pissed. If Barry Larkin (who stayed with the Reds his entire 19 year career, even when they sucked, and even when the Yankees offered him big money) left for the sake of money or championships, I'd be angry.
Fortunately, Larkin is a better person than LeBron, it seems. Larkin grew up wanting to be a Redleg, so once he got there, he wasn't leaving. LeBron grew up wanting to be a Cavalier (I think). He got there. Then screwed the city over so he could win a few championships earlier rather than later. He also dragged it out into public and made a big spectacle of it... people have turned on LeBron because it seems he is much more egotistical than once thought.
Sports is entertainment. Fantastic, unpredictable entertainment... unfortunately for Cleveland, they lost something to do during basketball season.
Of course it did, it's only natural that it would, but with it, came dependency; the masses are acting as though his legs were theirs.
They feel completely let down, but that's what happens when you put that much faith into someone you don't even know personally, right?
Don't depend on others to allow you to stand with the legs God gave you.
