New gaming systems? What are those?

Seriouspost: I just don't have any interest in any of the new games and systems coming out.

[2] And let's go by his numbers this year.

[2] His passer rating ranks him 23rd out of 33 qualifying quarterbacks, behind such luminaries as Colt McCoy and Ryan Fitzpatrick

[2] His completion percentage (less than half) is last for all qualifying quarterbacks. In the Jets game on Thursday, he missed multiple throws over the middle in the seven - twelve yard range. Anyone who's played any quarterback at any level knows those are the easiest throws on the field. I played quarterback for a year in freshman football and I could make those throws in my sleep.

[3] And yet his teams win because he's a good runner and he's playing with a sensational defense.

[2/3] Point is Tebow is a terrible QB but his team wins because of his running and leadership and because their running game (Tebow, the tailbacks and the wideouts combined) and defense are above average.

[4] Just like Dent. His sparkles and green hair make up for a lack of skill.
1--Tebow's yards last year actually compare well with the rest of the league in 2010, as far as yards per pass attempts goes. (Compare his 2010 stats here with the starting quarterbacks of 2010 here.) Tebow didn't throw TDs last year, and I didn't watch any but 1 or 2 of his games, so I don't know anything about that. (Maybe we could compare pass attempts per TD between him and other QB's? Well, I don't think you want to go that far into this.) Many things could explain that anyhow, as Tebow I'm sure was due to run many "safe" plays.

2--Well, the orthodox definition of a quarterback is someone who reads defenses and passes the ball or simply hands it off (and I think everyone is qualified to do the latter, as the QB does nothing afterwards). Tebow isn't an orthodox quarterback (i.e., passer)... but only by numbers graded by orthodox standards alone can it be declared for certain so prematurely that Tebow is a bad NFL quarterback. If Tebow gives the team something with his feet or "leadership" or "intangibles" in the position, then I'm going to have to be slow to say that he's a "terrible QB".

3--I don't think the Broncos D is that "sensational". They haven't been sensational in Tebow's first two starts (well, in the first, they played the then-more terrible Miami), and possibly his third. As for the whole season (as I'm not capable of recalling all the Broncos games this season, nor am I willing to look all them up), the Broncos D has average numbers, concerning yards, fumbles, and interceptions. (Granted, Denver has a good number of sacks, and the pts./game may look very good if one takes out outliers, such as the Detroit/Denver game. It helps to "take out," or counter-influence "outliers" in every stat--I'd like to input "fault" into many statistics, such as interceptions, as many of Eli's interceptions last year were really just batted up balls.) Ultimately, I think everyone is trying to rationalize how Tebow could be 4-1 as a starter whereas Orton went 1-4 this year. (I was never inclined to believe that Tebow would be a bad NFL QB [so I never had to rationalize away any of Tebow's wins], as Tebow is one of the greatest college football players of all time, if he isn't indeed the greatest football player of all time--such depends on who composes the list.) It is hard to see how Tebow can continually win down the road though, playing well only for the last five minutes--Tebow has to do what he does in those last minutes more. Now, if one says Tebow has to do what he can do and does in little measure more, than one is saying that he already has some of the stuff he needs to play in the NFL, and that he has, to some extent, already shown it.

4--Isn't Dent technically skilled in, and enthusiastic about, everything?
