I can't wait until you get to the Witches 5.
I know this is a old blog but I also agree with you on the fact that she was right. I used to deny it for a long time when I first joined the fourm, as a blk woman, I should have knew better than that.
The sad thing about this is she is considered the "pokemon hate lady" when she only wrote about the topic publicly one 1 time 12 years ago.

You have such a lovely way with words and a story that truly touches me. I agree completely about the psychological bullying. I really have to be pressed to remember the one time I was smacked. The day to day words and emotional beatings are what jump in my mind when I hear of bullying. And your eloquent post is truly inspiring, insightful, and, I hope, instilling itself upon those who need it the most.
You are a very strong person and I feel honored to have read every word of this post. Thank you so much for sharing.

I got really lucky and found a modest female Eevee. Too bad I wanted a male Espeon, but I can use the female in some way.
I'm feeling the female Eevee pain. I spent a lot of time through last night trying to get mine before I realised I could use Repels with a level 18 party leader to my advantage - to only have to battle Eevee. By that point, the first Eevee I encountered following this plan was female and I immediately caught her to get myself a Serious Espeon called Estrella. She'll be very worth it when the Elite Four need beating, though.
I am fond of female teams, I have to admit - my White team was all-female except for my woefully male Espeon and although I'm stuck using a mostly-male team in White2 (and lamenting my lack of a female Lopunny too, actually), I intend to stick with it only because I'm trying to play naturally rather than planning/being finicky.
Late on this, but liked for the Chikorita. c:
Corsola's so damn cute. I remember being so proud that I caught one before Misty did.
I agree with you about Chikorita. It was the first Pokemon I ever had, because Silver was my first game. When I got back into Pokemon after 10 years by playing HeartGold, I picked it again.
It's one of the cutest starters out there.
Great read! While I can't say I share any of your favourites (I'm more of a quirky/derpy/amphibian design fan), I really enjoyed reading the reasoning behind your choices, which in turn made me appreciate the Pokemon a little more. ^^
The hips, the helmet, the elbow blades - feels as though less than 5 minutes were spent on designing it.
