While looking at Gardevoir's page, I see the ghetto romanization as "Sirnight"

Saanaito = Saa + NAITO = Come + Night, or Come, Night

Weird wild stuff.

Wait, what's the point of this thread? <:O

How does "saa"(/"sir") mean "come"?

And just what is "sirnight"? I keep finding either nothing or "sennight". Other than those, the only thing (in a Google search) that I can find in a context that would give me a meaning is that 1. it's a term of respect, but 2. they have replaced the correct word "knight" with "night".

What is it?

For that matter, what the heck does Ralts mean?

That would be a good question to ask Game Freak, who romanized it that way; you're not going to get a definite answer here. :p

How does "saa"(/"sir") mean "come"?

It's a emotive interjection, that means something "come, come now".

さあ、行う。 Come, let's go!
さあ、食えよう。 Come, let's eat!

You get the idea.

Thanks, Zhen Lin. But does it make sense in the context of "Saanaito"? It doesn't to me with the sense of how "come" is being used in the English translation, but then again, Japanese isn't English. Maybe I'm just sensing it weirdly.

Dang, I wonder what "ラルトス" means.

Zeta's asking for the meaning of the word RALTS, no what is a Ralts.

That should have been obvious.

Not for some people, apparently.

That's the thing with common sense. It is, in fact, quite uncommon.
