I don't see why the agency couldn't just place the dog at the hairdresser's home. There is no mention of whether or not they decided that the home was satisfactory or not. I guess it's something that they're not allowed to decide on the fly like that. This is an example of when policies and procedures get in the way of humanity, I think. :/

That's kind of a silly policy if you ask me. If a home is suitable, it's suitable, especially if it's a better fit than another.

I'm glad to see DeGeneres being very mature and admitting openly that part of it is her error, she's always seemed to be one of the few trustworthy stars out there.

Aw, poor Ellen. She's so nice and such a sweetheart to everyone on her show and off the camera as evidenced by her generosity towards her hairdresser. You have to wonder what sorta thoughts were mingled in those agents heads when they decided to call the cops. Yeah, it was protocol, but they didn't have to be so underhanded about it. The right course of action would have been to issue warning, not jumping the gun. Not all is wrong though, the organization may be reconsidering its hasty decision.

In lieu of all the negative spotlight, it seems due to this snafu and exposure, the company may be letting the hairdresser's family keep the dog after all.
